Apple filed suit against OpenAI in federal court in Northern California on July 10, alleging trade-secret misappropriation and breach of contract. The complaint names hardware chief Tang Tan, ex-Apple engineer Chang Liu, and Jony Ive's io Products, claiming they took confidential files and recruiting tactics to build OpenAI's unreleased AI devices. OpenAI denies the claims, saying it has no interest in other companies' trade secrets.
