Delhi's Cabinet has approved EV Policy 2.0, effective July 2026, ending new petrol motorcycle and scooter registrations from April 2028 — existing vehicles remain legal. New petrol and CNG auto-rickshaw registrations will stop even earlier, from January 2027. Delhi will invest ₹15,000 crore over four years, offering ₹30,000 subsidies for electric two-wheelers and ₹50,000 for e-three-wheelers in the policy's first year to speed the transition.
