Oil surges more than 5% past $91 as Houthis hit Saudi tankers

U.S. crude jumped more than 5% to trade above $91 a barrel Thursday, its highest since early June, after Iran-aligned Houthi forces attacked two Saudi oil tankers near the Red Sea to enforce a declared blockade. Brent topped $100 for the first time since May. Oil is now up around 30% this month as the US-Iran conflict stokes supply fears.
