OpenAI releases GPT-5.6 publicly, launches ChatGPT Work agent

OpenAI made its GPT-5.6 models—Sol, Luna and Terra—generally available across ChatGPT, Codex and the API, ending earlier restricted access. Alongside the release, it launched ChatGPT Work, an agent that plans and executes multi-step workplace tasks, pulling context from connected apps like Slack, Google Drive and Outlook to build documents, spreadsheets and sites. It rolls out first to Pro, Enterprise and Edu.
