OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol nears flagship Astra performance at one-fifth the price

OpenAI has released GPT-6.1 Sol, an upgrade to last week's GPT-6 Sol that it says comes close to flagship GPT-6 Astra on agentic coding, computer use and professional work. API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output, one-fifth of Astra's rates, with cached input at $0.10. It is live now for paid ChatGPT and Codex users and in the API.
