OpenAI ships its first hardware: a $230 Codex Micro keypad for driving AI agents

OpenAI has released its first hardware product: the Codex Micro, a $230 macropad built with keyboard maker Work Louder. Six RGB-lit Agent Keys show live status for Codex coding agents, a joystick triggers workflows like debugging or refactoring, and a rotary dial adjusts reasoning depth. The limited-run device connects over Bluetooth or USB-C; pre-orders ship from July 24.
