Trump order gives US government early access to frontier AI models

A June 2 White House executive order directs developers of the most capable 'frontier' AI models to give the federal government up to 30 days of pre-release access and help choose which partners get early access. It sets up a classified, NSA-led benchmarking process to flag models with advanced cyber capabilities, but stops short of any mandatory licensing or permit to build or release AI.
