US Treasury doubles long-end bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation

The U.S. Treasury will at least double the size of its liquidity support buybacks in the 10-to-20-year and 20-to-30-year sectors, raising the cap from $2 billion to at least $4 billion per operation. The change takes effect September 9 and runs through November 4. Treasury cited strong sponsorship from market participants and a steady volume of high-quality offers.
