OpenAI has released GPT-6.1 Terra, a mid-tier model aimed at computer use, visual reasoning and routine office work. The company says it matches GPT-6 Astra on Agents' Last Exam while costing a tenth as much per token — $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output — and finishing tasks over three times faster. OpenAI still steers the hardest coding work to Sol or Astra.
