Foreign portfolio investors bought a net ₹15,157 crore of Indian equities in July, snapping a four-month selling streak. Analysts credit steadier domestic macroeconomic conditions, a stable rupee and improving global risk appetite. Even so, overseas investors remain net sellers for 2026, having pulled out roughly ₹2.6 lakh crore year-to-date. FPIs also added ₹6,625 crore of debt through the Fully Accessible Route.
